Ascent Trip ReportI used Fishers Wash to reach the TH. This is a good wash/road and the only vehicle requirement would be that it can maneuver well in sand. My route was basically getting onto the ridge and heading due south to the HP. It was steeper than I anticipated and while on the ridge I spotted other possible approaches from the west. They would be even steeper, but much shorter.
Decent views from the ridge and the false summits all along the way, so that was nice. But the ridge is a very rocky limestone ridge, so to prevent excessive scrambling, one might hike either on the east or west side of the ridge just below all the rocks.
I followed the same path down. It was a warm day today so I used more water on this hike than I planned. As such I decided to forgo hiking the Pink Knolls HP. I'll drive out and do that some other time.
