Ascent Trip ReportNight hike of Sunapee
started around 3AM, took a break at lake Solitude for about 30 minutes. Summited around 5AM, just before sunrise, watched sunrise from one of the ski runs. There was a heavy fog over all the lowalnds, and we had an absolutely beautiful view of Mt Kearsage rising up through the fog, and the deep red of the rising sun in the background. One of the best views I have seen on the east coast.
Spent about 45-60 min a the top, then hiked down, took our time on the bottom half due to sore knees, got back to the car 7AM. TONS of mosquitoes. My bad for not bringing the bug spray.
