Ascent Trip ReportHiked up Falls Creek with Sueann for a nice "moderate" hike. Going up the creek drainage we were in typical lowland vegetation: willow thickets, vine maple or some such, lots of lush, green succulents. Had to scramble up a few times grabbing roots and branches. Our goal was the tarn at the source of Falls Creek. When we broke out of the undergrowth I thought I'd see if i could scramble up the sub-peak SSE of the tarn. After gaining a few hundred feet, things were getting a bit exposed, bare rock with drop offs on both sides, and also getting fogged in. So, I headed back down and met up with Sueann at the tarn. Headed back down without major incident. I was a bit sore the next few days, but I think Sueann was more so. We joked about the "moderate" hike for the rest of the summer.
