Ascent Trip ReportThe crux was crossing the last drainage near the subdivision. After all the rain this month, the old, uneven cattle road had become seriously muddy and threatened to yank off our boots. So we elected to stay higher on the hillside, where it was still nasty but somewhat drier. However, by doing so we missed the easy (but muddy!) creek crossing via the road and ended up instead bushwhacking across in moderate poison oak and within view of a few houses. A nearby sign said we were at a land bank boundary. On the way down, we surrendered to the muck and took the road, which turned out to be a better, if disgusting, choice.
Expansive, but hazy, views in three directions. Unclear why this peak is seldom climbed and not on any lists.
