Ascent Trip Report

While in Singapore with my family, I figured I should seek out the small country's highest point. It was a half hour ride on the MRT (subway) from our hotel to the Beauty World stop, and then a ten minute walk on the road to the entrance of Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. My dad waited at the bottom while my mom went birdwatching and I went up the steep road and trail. It was in the 90s and humid, and I was dripping with sweat by the I reached the top despite the short ascent. Unfortunately there were no views from the summit due to the vegetation. I decided to take some side trails on the way down. I met up with my mom and birdwatched with her for a while, and then we all got Indian food by the MRT station before heading back.
