Ascent of Harquahala Mountain on 2019-03-17
|Date:||Sunday, March 17, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||5681 ft / 1731 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThe road to the trailhead from U.S 60 is pretty passable to 2wd passenger cars at the moment; just take it easy and pick your line well. There is a pretty BLM sign off US 60 indicating the turn off now, right behind the gate leading to the trail.
Lots of cool remains from the observatory installation and old prospector settlements scattered along the trail.
The sign at the summit microwave installation prohibiting swimming and fishing are funny.
