Ascent Trip ReportLed for the Mountaineers as a grand traverse starting at Rattlesnake Lake TH and ending at Snoqualmie Point TH. Probably should have brought snowshoes, but had a strong group who didn't mind trailbreaking the deep middle third portion of the traverse. We were breaking through at least 2-3' deep snow. Compact up to the ledge, but not icy so traction not needed. Breaking through 6" of snow after that and then really deep 1/3 way up. Not as deep when in the trees. Started about 8am and ended about 3pm. Snow showers almost all day with no views, but the snow made the traverse lovely anyways. |
