Ascent Trip Report

My wife and I stayed in Crianlarich before heading north to snag our third high peak on our UK road trip. We managed to get there early and found a great parking spot near the trail head, and I'm pretty sure I managed to successfully pay for parking this time around.

The trail is pretty direct: once you're over the river you start a steady climb up the side of the mountain until you reach the saddle, where large sweeping switchbacks whisk you to the top. The trek is about 10 miles long with over 4000 feet of gain, so the trail definitely keeps you working for the summit. We kinda had some views, but clouds settled on the summit minutes after we got there. Still, I was able to see much more than my last hike here 5 years prior!
