Ascent Trip Report

One of my first XC rides since moving to WA. Found the trail from the REI app MTB Project. I started the climb to Larch Mt much higher than the app suggested because I couldnt find the listed trail head; although where I started was a well-defined and established TH with bathrooms and map boards. The decent from Larch to the bottom (where the TH I was originally looking for was fantastic! I wish I could have shuttled my DH bike. The climb back to Larch and then short descent back to my truck was agonizing. Mostly up a logging road with a steepness of 12ish% on golf ball size or bigger rocks.
