Ascent Trip Report

Took a minor detour in reading instructions it said to keep staying right, so on the logging road when it split to the right I followed that for approx 1.5 miles to where it dead ended into a stream! Stay straight on the logging road and then once you hit the clearly marked trail stay right if your going direct to the summit. Overall a great hike quick in and out with decent trail conditions as they were fairly muddy in some places. As I got closer to summit kept hearing what I thought was a helicopter but turned out to be the windmill at the summit. Wind was intense and almost blew me over when I stood on one of the rocks. A little disappointed that the tower was fenced in with the communication building but still great views of Lake George
