Ascent Trip ReportPretty straightforward with some bushwhacking and an easy side trip from I-40. Get on the Foothills Parkway and take it to the height of land at the saddle west of the peak. Here, there's a small pullout on the E side of the Parkway with room for 1-2 cars, and a good trail leading into the woods at a concrete post. The trail remains in good condition for about 1/3 of the distance, then becomes fainter and intermittent in areas of thick pines and some brush with more open sections, but continues in some fashion all the way. It's a gradual 1 mile or so and 550' of uphill along a generally obvious ridge to the top, with high ground at a large stump with survey marker and boundary sign. There were some limited views of Leconte, Guyot, Cammerer, Hall Top, Webb, and English from more open sections of the ridge. Took me about 1:45 roundtrip in increasingly heavy rain. Long pants advised.
