Ascent Trip Report

The last few weeks have been very snowy in Idaho's mountains. Kate and I didn't have much time, but we wanted to get outside and enjoy the snow. We decided to snowshoes Three Point Mountain. Black's Creek Rd was very muddy in places and had deep rutted snow an ice up higher - it was a little sketchy getting to the trailhead, but we made it just fine.

It's a quick short hike up, views were obstructed by low clouds and snow flurries. We caught occasional glimpses, as we were right at the level of most of the clouds, but it was mostly a whiteout. The snow was deep and very firm, snowshoes might not have been needed for most of the hike, but were very nice to have. All in all, another nice afternoon in Idaho's mountains.
