Ascent Trip Report

Left the car at spade mileage marker 3.96 at 11am and took the old route to the top. Temperature was 33 degrees, winds north at 3-5 mph and skies partly cloudy. There was 1-2 inches of snow on the ground. Conditions were good though, under the snow the ground was not frozen. Muddy, so the boots dug in. Reached the top at 12:45pm, temperature was 30 degrees, winds north at 5-10 mph and skies still partly cloudy. There was 2-3 inches of snow. Back to the car by 3pm left a 3.8 mile hike with 1,063 feet of elevation gain on a fun snow filled day on the edge of the Mojave desert.
