Ascent Trip Report

Started at the Latigo Canyon trailhead for the Backbone trail. Descended down into Newton Canyon and up to the saddle at Newton Motorway. Turned left (uphill) approximately 0.5 miles to a large gate with no trespassing signs and a camera mounted on a pole. This is as close to the top as I could get. The trail has significant damage from the Woolsey Fire and the recent series of rainstorms. Very eroded with downed trees and rocks.
