Ascent Trip ReportWe did this one in the rain. As you enter Eureka from the south on highway 101 you will see a sign on your right regarding Fort Humboldt State Historical Park. Turn here and then in a few feet, turn left into the park area. You will pass a gate and then drive up a small incline. There is a small parking lot in which to park. There is a white bathroom and a white, small park headquarters. Follow the path along these buildings and right behind the bathroom is the highest point of this state park. I would take the little trail through the antique equipment, which start to your north. All in all, a interesting little state park. I forgot to turn off the GPS tracker, so this track includes the route to my hotel a short distance to the south off 101.
