Ascent of Wasson Peak on 2019-02-05
|Date:||Tuesday, February 5, 2019|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4687 ft / 1428 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWasson is the highest peak in the Tucson Mountains. We made a great 8-mile loop hike out of this peak-bag: King Canyon trail for the ascent; then back down the Hugh Norris, Sendero Esperanza, and Gould Mine trails. All trails were well-maintained since this peak is in the Saguaro National Park. Lovely views of the surrounding Tucson area from the top. Bring lots of water because there is no shade anywhere.
