Ascent Trip ReportStarted at Charlotte Pass at 7:30 AM and chose the sunnit trail. The outlook was cloudy, foggy and windy. The start of the walk was chilly. It is easy going all the way to the sunmit. I encountered no one until I reached Rawson Pass. I reached the summit at 9:30 AM. There was no view due to the fog. I returned via the Main Range track. It was easy walking, but very foggy. I took my time returning, snapping photos where there was visibility, took a break for lunch and returned to Charlotte Pass at 2:30 PM. There is a bit of uphill (300 ft) at the end. Total trip time was 7 hours but could have done it in 6 hours. |
