Ascent Trip Report

This trail offers one of the best ratios of reward to effort around. While the 4 mile trail to the summit isn't trivial due to a tough steep section near the half-way point, the view from the summit is incredible - almost as good as the view from Telescope Peak, but with much less effort. It's slightly frustrating that the trail takes unnecessary dips adding almost 25% to the elevation gain for the round trip, but fortunately the slopes of these dips are moderate.

Note: I had an additional 400 feet of elevation gain and mile of distance on the way "down" because as I was descending, I came upon my wife ascending (she hadn't planned on summitting), so I went back up to the summit with her.
