Ascent Trip ReportOn a day of driving from Woodruff Scout Reservation to Huntsville, AL across northwestern GA, I decided to do some COHP'ing. The first of the day, I got to Taylor Ridge (Catoosa COHP) by following Kevin Williamson's route from cohp.org (http://cohp.org/ga/Catoosa_2.html). This hike is shorter than the one posted by Mike Beavers, but does involve more climbing.
While Kevin mentions two gates, I only found one. I parked about 50 yards north next to the paved road. The hike was about 1 1/4 miles each way, and was a consistent, steady climb. When reaching the ridgeline, take the time to find the right opening in the brush, as it will lead to a fairly open path to the summit.
