Ascent Trip ReportToday’s trip included Franklin, Kearney, Phelps, Gosper, Frontier, Red Willow, Furnas, and Harlan counties -- all Nebraska.
This was just a delight as today was an excuse to tool around with my dad and share some great father-son time.
Lots of history lessons in the pickup as he learned about this new hobby, especially my home county.
I would recommend a high-clearance vehicle with 4wd based on conditions; I am not sure how much these roads are bladed; if they are with any frequency you should be fine in most vehicles, though they may be impassable after a solid rain. Here I stepped out of the vehicle and walked along the telephone poles to the 3rd one and back.
