Ascent Trip ReportTair Onnen is the highest point in the Vale of Glamorgan and is literally just off the A48 a few miles east of Cowbridge. Dead opposite Tair Onnen is a small unclassified road. Fifty meters down this road is a small factory/work unit. It was a Sunday so I managed to park here. Go back to the A48 and cross over. There is an obvious footpath here with a stone style…don’t go over this one. There is another footpath fifty meters to the right (there is a gate). Go through this and walk alongside the right side of the hedge for a couple of hundred meters. Hang a right and follow a track until you can see the trig point in the middle of the field (2-300m). This is some type of vegetable field so in summer be careful. Retrace your steps.
An exhausting 1.22km with 9m of height gain done in 15mins.
