Ascent Trip Report This was a private hike with George Christiansen. We were originally going to do Ryan in JTNP, but we weren’t sure if it was open or not due to the gov’t shutdown. Instead we decided to do these peaks just east of 29 Palms. For Pinto, we were following Richard Carey’s directions. We had a hard time finding the start of his track. The roads in this area are very confusing. We finally did and started the hike. It was a nice hike up a wash to a point where we left the wash and went up a ridge to the summit. On the summit there was a cairn and a register. From Pinto, we continue on the short distance to 3878.
Campbell was a short hike, just north of 29 Palms.
