Ascent Trip Report

The peak can be climbed from Refugio Tejos. Initially go up a couple hundred feet and then slowly wind your way around Ojos before you can descend to the 18,200’ notch. It is 5.2 miles each way and you will need to climb more than 3k feet when you add up all of the ups and downs. Don’t underestimate the time and energy it will require to slay Medusa. We needed a full rest day afterwards. Nevertheless it gave us great conditioning for Ojos.
