Ascent Trip ReportWe started this ascent based on the report dated 9/25/16. We drove up lemon lease rd to a closed gate. We continued to follow the road up the hill. Right before we arrived at the second closed gate there were 3 dogs, loud but not aggressive. We bagged South Mountain West and headed to South Mountain. On the way, we were contacted by an oil field worker who warned us that the property owner was pretty aggressive in regards to no trespassing. Bagged South Mountain and met 2 more workers who told us the same thing. We retraced our route back to the truck. The GPX track is one way, bagging both peaks. There are a couple of alternate routes- via Richardson canyon, or Balcom canyon may work better.
