Ascent Trip Report

This one turned out to be somewhat of a challenge. Drove two complete circuits around the highpoint looking for a good spot to go in due to all the posted land in the area. Ended up following a posted hedgerow north from Hawkins Road. This was the longest access to the highpoint, but as far as I could see, the only way in without trespassing or getting permission from a landowner. This was not a bad bushwhack at all, going through mostly open woods. Did not figure I would have much luck finding the benchmark when I arrived at the summit because of all the cut limbs and downed trees. Went to the visual highpoint and searched around for a little while before I got the bright idea to go to the actual GPS coordinates. My GPS got me within seven feet and I had no trouble spotting the benchmark from there.
