Ascent Trip Report

Trailhead is at Iron Mountain Trailhead. I followed the Iron Mountain Trail up to the saddle, taking a moment to explore some minor bumps and also the Helipad. From the helipad, I returned to the Saddle, took a left and scrambled up the mountain following meandering goat paths. After a scramble, minor bushwhack and a little boulder hopping, I reached Iron View Top and the top of Middle Summit, and explored the various rockpiles. From Middle Summit, I saw a deer running up to Iron View Summit. I descended the north side of the mountain. I found the two nearest peaks, Ramona Overlook and Ramona Overlook Peak were marked closed for Raptor Breeding Season. I followed a trail roughly clockwise around the base of the mountain with many switchbacks until I came to the saddle and proceeded down the the parking area and trail.
