Ascent of Dallas High Point on 2018-12-06Date: | Thursday, December 6, 2018 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Dallas High Point | Location: | USA-Texas | Elevation: | 780 ft / 237 m |
Ascent Trip ReportDid not want a road hike again. So to make it more interesting I parked at the nearby Audubon Park called Cedar Ridge and hiked down to a lower creek elevation and then hiked out to rural HP alley. Although "unique terrain" deemed by Audubon Society worth preserving, and I appreciate anyone who puts any land in TX into the public domain since there is little of that there, This simply rolling hills of limestone and cedar bushes with warning signs of at least 4 different types of poisonous snakes so not a big thrill or scenic good time but any way you look at it.....ascending a city highpoint without having to simply do a paved walk up or drive up is certainly better and got in some exercise
