Ascent Trip ReportThis is basically a drive up with a short whack (200 yds RT). Doesn't have a TR so here's one.
From the JCT VA231/CR640 in Cash Corner (between Brownsville and I64) I went west on CR640 for 3/4 mile to a right turn on Peters Mountain Road. I ignored the posted signs "Private, No Trespassing" and drove the paved winding road northbound for 2.16 miles to a woods road on the right and parked (38.12255,-78.29213).
The remainder of the road (0.4 mile) to the summit of Peters Mountain was gated at 300 yds ahead.
The Triple Divide Point is inside the open woods abt 100 yds to the south of my parking. I went to the PB Coordinates and stomped the area, trying to visualize the 3 water sheds, and called it good. Near-by was a faded pink flag-tape which IMO did not have the necessary water sheds - good luck on finding "the" spot.
