Ascent Trip ReportLater in the day than I'd planned thanks to a misadventure on Keddie Peak in the morning, I started driving up Beardlsey Grade following Dan Baxter's directions, hoping to get to the summit and back before sunset. The roads were well graded until the upper section of FS27N43 which was a bit rocky with mud puddles. The last section up FS27F08 to the saddle at 7702' got quite rocky indeed especially the last hill, but the Forester powered through and I had time for a quick run to the summit. The drive down was easier and I was back on pavement by sunset.
