Ascent of Anderson Peak on 2018-09-22
|Date:||Saturday, September 22, 2018|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||10840 ft / 3304 m|
Ascent Trip ReportHPS outing, Route 5, led by Ryan Lynch & Bill Simpson. 13 hikers total. The off-trail ridge ascent was steep, a few areas with loose rock and tricky footing, but essentially solid, straight-forward, fun and challenging. Once we met up with the trail we followed it to hit four peaks: Shields, Anderson, San Bernardino East & San Bernardino. Then remained on the Forsee Creek Trail back to the parking area. GPS track attached shows ascent only (and I missed a little in the beginning). Entire trip approx 15mi, 5900ft gain, 12 hours.
