Ascent of North King Mountain on 2018-09-21
|Date:||Friday, September 21, 2018|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
|Peak:||North King Mountain|
| Elevation:||10760 ft / 3279 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI first tried to drive up to the launch site from Moore but, in the dark, I came to a major washout low on the road. I camped below that and then drove around Arco using the Beaverhead Pass road for access to the high launch site. Looking down from there I could see there was a a bypass around the washout that I missed in the dark. King Mountain to North King is a nice ridge walk; GPS says 5.5 miles RT with 3,545' of total vertical gain..
