Ascent Trip ReportWith PB. We ascended via the Northwest Ridge route from Missouri Gulch trailhead. Interesting and very short scramble over a small bulgy gendarme on the ridge near the summit. There was a slight be of exposure. Initially, on looking at the feature, I had some fear, but after committing to it, it wasn't that bad. There was a stick across a gap that went below this feature, indicating that the lower was wasn't to be taken.
Great weather. Although there were some sparse clouds on our ascent, they weren't worrisome. They gathered thicker in the afternoon, but there was still plenty of blue sky on our descent and by the time we made it back to the car. We didn't get any rain. Total time (car to car) was approximately 10 hours (hitting the trail around 6:20 a.m. and returning to the car around 4:20 p.m.), which put us on the slow side at about 1 mile per hour.
