Ascent Trip Report

3hr round trip from Ken Jones track starting point, Vedder Mountain Ridge Trail sign (N49.06453° W122.01130°); could probably have coaxed our Santa Fe AWD along the route to the upper trailhead (N49.07099° W122.00996°, 670m) saving 100m of ascent. Above there, substantial earthworks prevent further motorised progress: the trail continues L a short way as an old road, then very nice forest trail R well marked with orange squares. Passes a nice viewpoint, small pool, slightly larger mapped pool then short simple slippery rope-protected scramble to summit outcrop (GPS N49.05361° W122.04411°, 921m). Forecast wet but just a little drizzle, nice pre-flight morning hike
