Ascent Trip Report

Great after work mission with Dan Glatz on a bluebird fall evening. From the lower Ind. Mind parking lot we pretty much pointed right at The Pinnacle and held that line all the way up the SW ridge. Some steep and exposed scrambling placed us on the SW ridge. From our stance on the SW ridge there was ~100ft section of exposed and steep ridgeline with a few awkward moves that lead to grass ramps below the summit. We belayed this section and it was good fun! There are some nice cracks along the way that took a BD Camalot #2 and .75 very nicely! As I topped out and reached a good belay boulder Dan yelled up that I was at half (60m rope) ... perfcect-o! A quick trot to the summit revealed wonderful views of the surrounding area. Two 100ft rappels brought us back down to mellow-er terrian and we egressed to the parking lot. 4.5 hours from car to car with time to relax on the summit. There are a variety of routes on this peak and some great trip reports.
