Ascent Trip ReportAfter leaving Washington COHP I drove directly to the Greene COHP following more winding roads. My approach was from I-79 exiting in Waynesburg. I followed PA 21 through Waynesburg to PA 18. Turned left on PA 18 and headed south to Garrison. Garrison is another small crossroads about a mile north of the West Virginia state line. Took a right at the abandoned J & K General Store. Headed up hill for about a half mile and parked at the first intersection at Fox Hill Road. Parked on the grass and quicly found the ATV trail leading steeply uphill in a northeasterly direction. The ATV doesn't go all the way to the summit. The last 100 feet is through thick brush and high grass. I had to deal with some thorny catbriars. If you turn off the ATV track before it crests you might be able to avoid the thickest stuff. The brush is not impenetrable but it is a nuisance and wear long pants and do a post check for ticks of which I found none.
Fifteen minutes up and down.
