Ascent Trip ReportI've uploaded my GPS for this walk, but it's more or less pointless. This is a hideous trudge through squelchy bog once you get to the end of the gravel path, and the suggestion that there's any sort of path to follow would be desperately optimistic to the point of delusion.
Luckily we did it at the end of one of the driest summers in Irish history - but of course we still got quite wet. Only worth it if you're working on a county high point list, and I can't imagine that there are any county tops less rewarding that this one. Will be interesting to see if anything happens with the border (which you'll cross a couple of times if you decide to go for the actual top of Slieve Beagh) after Brexit.
