Ascent Trip Report

Crockett county has two 480 ft contours on opposite ends of the county which makes for a long drive unless you do them on two different days, which I did.

NE of Gadsden, TN
The first point I visited was in mid-December and is easily to locate along US-79/TN-76. It is just north of the city of Gadsden and is located underneath a water tower next to a house on the right (eastern) side of the highway.

SW of Broadview
I did not get to the second point until later that spring after doing the Lauderdale county high points.
I climbed the Lauderdale county highpoints going from west to east which meant I ended up at the intersection of US-51 & Dry Hill Rd when I was done.
Head east on TN-180 toward Gates, TN from US-51. Follow it through Gates and then stay on TN-88 when TN-180 turns south.
You will be on TN-88 for about 9.3 miles then turn left (north) on Robertson Rd.
Robertson Rd dead ends into Chestnut Bluff-Maury City Rd in 1.5 miles; turn left and go .4 mile to a small house on the south side of the road.
Park, knock on the door and ask permission to go up to the radio tower in the back yard.
