Ascent Trip ReportAs I drove into the Seven Springs Resort, GPS twice led me astray. Once it wanted me to drive across a ski slope. Another time it insisted I go to the main lodge, which is at the foot of the hill. But Laurel Hill is not that difficult. As you approach the main gate, turn left onto Village Drive, which heads downhill but then climbs to the top of the slopes across the valley. Village Drive eventually becomes Pritts Distillery Road. Turn right on Tahoe Drive and then take Lakeside Trail north past the reservoir. Old topo maps show that the original high point was excavated to build the reservoir, and many of the boulders along Lakeside Trail are debris from that project. But there are a couple of larger boulders in the woods that may be in their natural places. Your call.
