Ascent Trip ReportThank you Kim. I did not know about this one and after a night of waiting for grunion down the road a bit on the beach across from Coronado Cays, we decided to call it a night a head home. When we got back to the car and put our buckets and gear away Kim said Hey, there is a High Point just north of here on the bayside and it is a whopping 17 feet above sea level and it is on Peakbagger. So off we went. Heading North on Silver Strand Blvd, we turned right on Attu Avenue and parked at the small Trailhead. A short walk on a small trail brings you to the High Point and the view was excellent. It was 12:01am with clear skies and all the lights shining on the bay. One thing neat about Peakbagger and peakbagging is that no matter where you are at and what you are doing there is a peak, benchmark, or high point someplace nearby. A fun night and morning hanging out with Kim. |
