Ascent Trip ReportNice 2-day backpack with a small group of mountaineers(led by Fritz). The hike in was very scenic. We camped at Peggy's Pond on Friday night and started relatively early Saturday to scramble up Lynch Peak. It seemed most of the day was spent traversing across a steep snowfield (ice axe and crampons) before reaching Pea Soup Lake for a break. We then scrambled up a steep snow and some rock to a saddle and then some rock up to the summit. Unfortunately, clouds rolled and we didn't have any views. We did get some glimpses of Mt. Daniel on the way up. We had a quick lunch and then started down a different route back to Pea Soup Lake and the traverse back to camp. The views did open up a bit while we traversed back to camp. Once back to camp we packed up camp and headed back to the trailhead.
