Ascent Trip ReportEarly Start. Super Cold Day. Nice and frosty walk on fairly compacted trails. Followed faint snowshoe tracks. Decent visability from Giant Ledge past Tremper and Romer... not too far beyond that. Seemed like easy going till We hit the Notch...!!!
Boom, Slammed by horizontal eastward wind. Visibility down to 50 feet max. Postholing like nobody's busisness! Tough stuff and tougher going. Couldn't have been more than 15 mins off snowshoers but no signs of them through the notch.
Summit gained... Kick it in reverse for a Alpine glissading exit.
