Ascent Trip Report

As part of “The Holy See” I tagged the highest point at Castel Gandolfo, the summer residence, which is part of Vatican City. At 1398ft it is higher than “Vatican Hill”. Watch out for the traffic, that is the most dangerous part of the hike. Took a train from Rome, the station at Castel Gandolfo was closed because of track work so you got off the train at Ciampino and transferred to a bus for the rest of the trip. Also took a tour of Vatican City.
