Ascent of Clause Peak on 2018-08-05
|Date:||Sunday, August 5, 2018|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||10612 ft / 3234 m|
Ascent Trip ReportOf all the major peaks in the Wyoming Range, Clause is surely the most challenging summit to reach. Several miles of bushwhacking gives way to a steep traverse in rocky alpine followed by a loose 4th class scramble to gain the summit ridge. Definitely a worthy peak objective and the area has fascinating geology.I was glad to get up here with Kari (most of the way) and our friend Joe (all the way). We also found a ram skull and both horns!
