Ascent Trip ReportI started this hike at the gate to the Sunrise ski lift. It's a beautiful trail, with MANY switchbacks criss-crossing a ridge-line up to the highest lift terminus, presumably to keep the slope easy for average hikers. Lots of forest fires in California and southwest Oregon made for a lot of haze, but the views to the north--the Sisters on up to Jefferson--were okay. Nice exercise. I counted 23 hikers on the trail, including one trail runner.
