Ascent Trip Report

Recommend high clearance 4wd from Ophir (west side) - we drove up in a 4wd pickup. We saw 2 different low clearance cars (like a Toyota Yaris) come up from the east side so that way may be better for a 2wd car. Route is straightforward with occasional ducks from 0.2 mi east of Ophir pass where we parked. Once you reach the south ridge it becomes a mix of loose talus and scrambling on somewhat solid rocks. Overall, if you are in Telluride for a wedding and need a half day fix, this is a great peak! Pics
