Ascent Trip Report

After visiting Timms Hill, I drove the 5 minutes over to the "highest farm in Wisconsin" to visit Pearson Hill. Why not? Based off the road maps, google earth, and the USGS map, it looked like the easiest route would be to drive up almost to the farm, park, and then head into the woods due north.

I walked up to the farm first and knocked on the door to see if anyone was home. No answer. I parked a respectful distance back down the road where a "Y" of an old overgrown road clearly forks off to the right. You can take this road for about 30-40 yards and then another very over-grown old logging road juts off to the right which heads very close to the summit. Eventually you'll want to move a bit left and walk through the nice open forest instead of the overgrown road. It probably takes 5 minutes to walk to the summit, which is easy to locate. Benchmark is prominently placed. I assume that bugs and ticks can be an issue, but it is a very short hike and bushwhack, and I had no issues.
