Ascent Trip Report

This was a pretty quick and easy trip. Easily located the Beauty Creek Trail about 50 feet after the big bridge. Then a steep grunt up to the faint climbers trail (marked with a cairn). I followed it for a while until it petered out, then more or less went directly uphill. It doesn't matter, it's all easy open travel anyways.

The last water on route is at the tarn at around 6750'. After that, a comically awful scree slope with more solid scrambling to climbers' left. Once the ridge is gained, it's a fun but deceptively long class 2ish ridge walk with one exposed class 3 section just below the summit. No register that I could find but I didn't look too hard. Goregeous views of the big North Cascades peaks (Silver Star, Goode, Black, Logan, Jack, etc) and the Pasayten.
