Ascent Trip Report

Day 2 on a 3 day trek from Meeks Bay TH to Eagle Falls TH by way of Stony Ridge Lake and Middle Velma Lake. Day 1 took us from Meeks Bay trailhead at 8:30am to Stony Ridge Lake, arriving around 1pm for a lazy day at the lake. Day 2, departed Stony Ridge Lake at 7:45am and made the summit around 10:30. Hiked the Tahoe-Yosemite Trail until we broke out of the trees due south of Phipps Peak. Stashed our backpacks and scrambled north to attain the summit. Descended back to our packs and resumed TYT arriving Middle Velma early afternoon where we made camp just as the rain started. Day 3 took us down Eagle Falls trail to the Eagle Falls trailhead.
