Ascent Trip Report

Started at 0646 hr. from Tioga Pass just inside Yosemite National Park. Saw black bear from trail at 0657 hr. about 100 meters off trail across meadow. Reached summit at 0936 and left by 0943 hrs - only one on summit with perfect weather/windless. Some haze to the west from the Fresno Fire. Back down at the car/trailhead by 1133 hr. Lot of people coming up as I was going down. Maps don't show it but there is a well marked trail at lower elevations and cairns in the high talus sections. Hike begins just behind the national park entrance station.
