Ascent Trip ReportInspired by Greg Slayden, we decided to try our bikes on this as well. We ended up pushing the bikes a good chunk to the station, then mostly to the observatory. The downhill was nice, and then we pushed the bikes a good part of the way to the 13,175 foot location. We locked the bikes there, and then hiked to the summit. On the way back, we saw a herd of about a dozen big horn sheep, who apporached us to about 50 yards. We then retrieved the bikes, and flew to the trailhead, stopping only to push a little way to the observatory, and to take photos and videos of each other. |
